Congratulations on Our Students' Outstanding Performances in Canadian Chemistry Contest

2019-07-04

In May 2019, our students took part in the Canadian Chemistry Contest (CCC) and got outstanding results. The CCC is an annual competition held by Waterloo University, and has a history of 48 years. This competition contains two levels: Avogadro exam and Chem13 News exam, designed for 10th graders, and 11th/12th graders respectively.

This year, 7000 students from over 697 schools all over the world took part in this competition. 20% of the participants can be rewarded. This year, many of our students won the awards.

Among them, Huiying Qiu got the first place with a full mark!

AVOGADRO

The CCC is a competition held by the Chemical Institute of Canada, and is one of the authoritative chemical competitions in Canada. It is also the preliminary match of Canadian Chemistry Olympiad (CCO). Outstanding students in CCC could be invited to the final match of CCO, and could thus further take part in the ICHO competition.

Since 2018, ASDAS China Office and the CIC has established the partnership and become the organizer of CCC and CCO.

This year, 1000 students from 170 top Chinese high schools (including Shanghai High School, Nanjing Foreign Language School, Shandong Experimental School) took part in this competition. Though it is the first time for Shenzhen Middle School students to attend the competition, we won 5 global outstanding awards, 4 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal.

Congratulations for the students! Thanks for all the teachers for your hard work!
